Une quiche nommée loally

Je profite de mes deux heures en transit à mon intime aéroport d’Auckland. Rassurez-vous ; je ne rentre pas. J’ai plus d’un tour dans mon sac ! Comme prévu : vacances au Vanuatu. Je vous en parlerai plus tard !

Donc ; un article hors du commun, et plutôt succinct. Premièrement : acheter des cigarettes… . Eh bien ; sortez vos papiers d’identité, car ô, fumeurs invétérés, vous en aurez besoin ! Je vais avoir 27 ans dans trois semaines et je dois, pour la première fois, prouver de ma majorité… Un comble dès lors que lorsque j’ai acheté mon premier paquet en France, à l’âge de 14 ans (vous vous souvenez ? Les paquets de dix…) on ne m’a jamais demandé quoi que ce soit. Ah si : partez en courant ! Ce n’est pas légal, mais je dois faire mon chiffre dans cette petite bourgade de mes… Hum… Pardon… Bref, si jamais le buraliste ne possède pas votre marque, tentez de lui demander ce qu’il peut vous vendre. Il vous répondra, tel un dealer dans un quartier sensible et presque en chuchotant : « Je n’ai pas le droit de vous dire. Qu’est-ce que vous voulez ? » N’ayez crainte, vous pouvez répondre normalement : « Lucky Strike, Camel, Benson… » (Oui, je fais comme à la télévision ; je site au minimum trois marques. Cela vous convient-il ?

Enfin ; citez toutes les marques que vous avez en tête ; jusqu’à ce qu’il acquiesce. Il le fera à un moment. Et « Thank You For Smoking ! »

Bon ; cela était pour les cigarettes et vous ne dépenserez qu’environ 22NZD, pour un paquet de 25.

Ensuite, pour l’alcool, cela est un peu pareil. Si vous voulez entrer dans un bar ; prévoyez votre carte d’identité, ou bien vous resterez à la porte….Un peu comme un sans-abri devant un restaurant de luxe… Pour l’achat ; c’est la même rengaine. De plus, l’alcool est prohibé dans la plupart des hôtels alors soyez le plus discret possible ou abstenez-vous !

N.B. : L’abus d’alcool est dangereux pour la santé. A consommer avec modération.

An impossible mission

While I’m waiting for two hours in Auckland airport, I take advantage of that to give you some news.

As expected, here I am in Vanuatu! I will write something about that if you’re nice.

So, here is an article out of common and quite brief.

First mission, then: buy some cigarettes in here…

Bring your I.D. because you will need it.     

I’m going to be 27 in three weeks and this is the first time in my life I have to prove I’m an adult. I remember when I was 14 and bought my first pack of cigarettes. The retailer did not ask for any I.D., and the only thing he asked me for was to quickly leave due to the fact that what he did was not legal…

Though, here is the funny part. If the retailer does not have your brand, and you ask him what he can sell you, he will reply, the same way as a drug dealer: “I’m not allowed to tell. What do you want?”

And you can reply, quite confidently: Camel, Lucky Strike, Marlboros,…” (I have to do it the French way. I have to give at least three different brands…) After a while, he will say yes. Only after a while… So “Thank You For Smoking”!

Eventually, you will have to pay 22NZD for a 25 pack.

Then; the alcohol consummation is quite the same. Always take your I.D. with you; otherwise, you will stand in front of a bar, the same way a homeless guy would stand, in front of a luxurious restaurant! Moreover, the alcohol is banned in the majority of hostels, so be a spy or do not drink at all!
